Arteria

Born from raw energy and a shared passion for metal, Arteria is a band that makes the blood surge. The roots of the band trace back to guitarist Ocean Silbernberg and drummer Karsten Findeneg, longtime friends who began jamming together during their high school days. After years of playing side by side in the heavy metal band Invain, the two decided in December 2024 to forge a new path and form their own project: Arteria.

Soon after, vocalist Justin Auf der Springe joined the ranks, and together the trio laid the groundwork for what would become a fierce and forward-thinking metal force. Following a period of searching and refining the sound, bassist Julian De Potter and guitarist Ciske van Luit completed the lineup — bringing not only technical prowess but also a fresh layer of energy and perspective.
Each member brings a deep love for heavy music, but also unique influences spanning across the metal spectrum. With roots in death and groove metal, Arteria’s sound is a visceral mix that incorporates elements of metalcore, deathcore, progressive metal, and even black metal. Each song is crafted with the intention to push boundaries — blending styles, shifting dynamics, and refusing to follow a single formula.
A defining feature of Arteria’s music is the deliberate use of high contrast between crushing grooves, complex rhythms, and soaring melodies. This interplay creates emotional depth and sonic impact, adding texture and intensity to each composition. Melody matters as much as brutality — and that balance is at the heart of the band’s identity.

Arteria draws inspiration from a wide range of metal pioneers, including Gojira, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, and All That Remains, as well as more extreme and diverse acts like Decapitated, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cryptopsy, Sepultura, Opeth, Gaerea, and Whitechapel. This broad spectrum of influences fuels a sound that is both aggressive and atmospheric, technical and groove-driven — unapologetically heavy, but never one-dimensional.
With four seasoned musicians and years of shared history, Arteria delivers an unfiltered intensity that fuses aggression with emotion, melody with brutality.
